Biographical note

Andreas holds an MA (2005) and PhD degree (2012) in History, both from Leiden University. After years as postdoc at the University of Twente and the Science History Institute in Philadelphia (2015-2016), Andreas was appointed as Assistant professor at the University of Twente in 2017. In 2023, he was promoted to Associate professor. Since April 2025, he chairs the daily board of the HAICu consortium (www.haicu.science), a multi-annual and research project which brings Dutch cultural heritage institutions, AI researchers and Digital Humanists together.
